After a wonderful 8 (12 for Fan & Bay) hour car ride that consisted entirely of pouring down rain, we are nice and cozied up in our hotel room for the night. Can you say Macon Georgia? Yeah we know, Macon BACON! It was an eventful day.

Bay and Fan arrived in Milford at about 1030 and picked up Chellerz first and than came to get me. Fan was DEATHLY afraid of my dog. Before leaving town, we stopped at McDonald’s to grab some lunch. Bay felt the need to tell the three of us about the Shamrock smoothie they had as a special… while we were ordering. Not just tell us, but repeatedly tell us while tapping our shoulders. Needless to say, she was at the point where she was so tired that she was a bit slap happy… an hour later she was passed out in the car. Me and Chels sat in the front, Chels driving, and jammed to music all the way through Kentucky and Tennessee. Chels thinks she’s gangster and sits back in her seat so far back she’s gotta stretch her arm out all the way to reach the steering wheel. About 45 min from Georgia I took over and it was going great… until we reached Atlanta. I’m just really not that skilled when it comes to driving six lane highways. I cut off the same guy… twice… so initially he was a little miffed and decided to shine his brights at me and then proceeded to cut me off. I felt really bad… and was in no mental state to drive, so Chelsey took over about an hour from Macon. After we checked into our hotel room we headed next store to cracker barrel for a late dinner. Now we’re sitting here and I’m tumbling while Chelsey and Fan attempt to finish their papers…. I think i’m going to go help them.

So far so great :)

Half-Marathon training?

This, along with my roommate Chellerz who trains with me most days, is what keeps me going and keeping up with training. Having it all laid out and having the ability to cross of each day is powerful. Everyday I have a goal that I set out to reach and having to look at this schedule helps me achieve that goal. I encourage anyone who has set out to accomplish something difficult to write out your goals. Take individual days and just lay them out at take that big goal and cut it into a bunch of different goals that can be achieved through small steps. Before you know it, that big goal will be accomplished and it’ll feel so good. At least that’s what I’m hoping for :)
